Slimy Muk! {Josiah//Open}

[Beka Lyena]

Beka sihed as she continued climbing up the steep hill. She had a wooden pole that she used as a trekking pole, but otherwise, she was carrying quite a weight in her pack. The blue backpack cut into her shoulders, but she knew better than to complain. Josiah was carrying a lion's share as well, and she didn't want him to play the gentleman and pick up her load as well. She crested the hill and saw the expanse of glittering blue water ahead of them, "Come on, Joe! We're almost there!" Her vigor renewed, she started forward again, towards Crystal Lake. Her load didn't seem too heavy now. Her ears waved in the wind, and a smile played across her face.

As the Eevee Poke'Morph marched down towards the lake, her three Pokemon also made their way, using various routes to accommodate their more adapted feet. As they finally reached the lake's shores, Beka dropped her pack onto the rock and loose dirt and then sprinted towards the lake, "Last one there's a slimy Muk!"

Josiah was barely paying attention as he walked along side Beka. His eevee Destiny walked beside him, while he carried his Celebi Myst. They where his only two pokemon and he was hoping to catch a new pokemon while they where at the lake.

When they finally reached the shore he dumped his bag and raced after Becka. But he stopped to set Myst down. "If you want you can stay on shore or if you want you can come in the water with us." Myst flew up into his arms and nuzzled herself into the crook of her arm. "I'll take that as you want to come. Ok than lets go Destiny.

Josiah ran into the lake way behind Beka. "Ok I'm a slimy muk but that's ok. The care of my pokemon come first. Josiah was only up to his wait. Destiny paddled at his side and swam out to Beka. Joe set Mist into the water and slowly removed his hands. "Time for swimming lessons." But he needed worry. Celebi dove down into the water and disappeared only to reaper behind Beka and fly into the air spinning and sending water droplets every where.

Beka dove into the water without regard for her clothes, knowing they could use a good washing either way, and swimming in them would save her trouble later. She came up for breath and saw Josiah still on shore with his Pokemon. She smiled at him as he finally ran towards her with Myst in the crook of his arm. He didn't come in to where she was treading water to stay aloft, "My guys like water." She smiled at Puppe, floating about the waves, seeming to be chasing them, and then at Leafeon and Samen, who were just lying in the shallows, enjoying the sunlight as the breakers washed over them.

As Myst came up behind her, Beka felt the droplets of water on the back of her neck and looked up, "I guess you don't need to give her any swimming lessons." Grinning, she moved her arm above the top of the water, skimming only the very tips, and splashed it towards Josiah, "Come on, you!"

Josiah smiled he was happy to see that Mys wouldn't have any problems with swimming. "Well looks like Myst loves the water as well. And it's a relief that I don't need to worry about her drowning she took to the water like a pidgy takes to the air." He laughed softly when Beka splashed him. His eyes sparkled with mischief. He dove under water and disappeared he swam under Beka and grabbed her right leg tugging it gently before swimming up behind her. "Ok I'm here! This was a great idea of yours Beka. I'm glad we came here it's going to be a great day.?"[b./b]

Myst dove back down into the water and swam under it looking at all the pokemon. She than swam back up and flew up behind Joe and landed on her head. "This is fun!

Destiny stayed by the shore she just wanted to relax. She sat down on the sandy beach and let the waves gently roll over her. She was tired after the long hike. Getting up she shook her pelt and padded up to Josiah's pack and laid down curling up into a ball she drifted asleep.

Beka nodded as she continued to tread water to stay afloat. She bobbed up and down in the gentle swells of the waves, and watched the Pokemon enjoying the day at the lake. She didn't notice Josiah diving underwater, but she did feel him tug on her leg and spun around as he spoke behind her, "Oh, the nerve!" She pretended to be indignant, but then ruined the effect by hugging him and grinning. "See, it was worth the long hike." Puppe floated in front of them and rubbed his stomach, and Beka nodded. She swam away from him, towards the shore, "I should set up the picnic we brought. I'm sure everyone is hungry after that hike, and the lake isn't going anywhere." Once on shore, she wrung out her hair and ears, then set off, clothes still dripping, to dig through the bags.

Once she had set everything out, she called out, "Lunch, everyone!" She watched her Pokemon come running, acting as if they hadn't eaten in ages.

Josiah couldn't help but laugh. He hugged her back than gave her a quick kiss on the lips. "Yep you come up with the best ideas ever. I'm glad I listened to you." Josiah watched her swim away he played with Myst while she set the food out. They swam under water exploring every crevice coming up only when they needed air.

Just as the two came up together he heard Beka call them for lunch. He started swimming to the shore. Myst flew onto his back and sat on his back and let him do all the work. When they got closer to shore she flew over to Beka and into her arms. "Cel, celabi, bi, bi, bi, bi"

Destiny woke from her dream as Josiah stepped out of the lake and sprayed her with water. She squealed as the cold drops hit her.

Beka laughed as she saw Myst sitting n Jonah's back as the two drew closer to where she had laid out the lunch. The Celebi seemed like such a trickster, at times. As Myst flew towards her, Beka opened her arms for the grass type Pokemon to land in them, which she did, with some words in her Pokemon language. Beka smiled, “You're enjoying it too, I'd guess that you're saying?” She felt Blat rubbing up against her leg and looked down at the Leafeon, “You'd think that I don't feed you enough.” Blat smiled at her, as innocent as can be, and blinked her eyes. Beka rolled her own orbs, “Come on, I fed you this morning!” Blat just looked pointedly at the piles of food, and Beka relented, “Alright. But wait for Josiah and Destiny to come over here too.” She folded her legs and sat on the edge of the picnic blanket, Myst on her lap, Blat curled up over her foot like a dog, and Puppe beside them all. She looked to where Josiah and Destiny were, “If you don't hurry, I daresay Blat will be more than happy to eat your portion too!” The mood in it's entirety was one of happy times, without anything to worry about.
